The coin’s reverse combines struck and coloured pictorial elements representing Western Australia. As well as a coloured composition featuring the Perth city skyline and the Swan River, the design includes a kangaroo, and the State’s floral emblem, the Kangaroo Paw.

The coin’s reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
