SILVER PROOF COIN 2011 ROYAL WEDDING 1 OZ

The Official Commemorative Coin Approved By Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II The Perth Mint is extremely pleased to announce that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has approved our design for a commemorative Royal Wedding release symbolising Australia’s heartfelt congratulations and warmest wishes for the future happiness of H.R.H. Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

The popular Prince, who is second in the line of succession, met his bride when they were students studying at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Expected to be of intense interest to millions, if not billions, of people worldwide, their marriage takes place in London’s historic Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011.

Proof Quality 99.9% Pure SilverThe coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

Coloured ReverseThe reverse design bears an official image of the happy couple, the beaming smiles on their jubilant faces realistically portrayed in colour. The design also includes an intricately-detailed, sculpture of Westminster Abbey in the background.

As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the reverse of the coin also features the inscriptions ‘Royal Wedding 29.04.2011’ and ‘H.R.H. Prince William of Wales & Miss Catherine Middleton’.

Australian Legal Tender: Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, together with the 2011 year-date.

Limited Mintage: Set to be a timeless reminder of an historic Royal wedding, no more than 12,500 of these coins will be released by The Perth Mint.

Presentation Packaging: Each coin is housed in a grey-coloured presentation case. The classic case comes in a white box-shipper featuring varnished representations of stylised roses. Silver-foiled lettering completes the luxurious feel
